Who is it for?

Target audience

Beauty professionals wishing to offer lash lift services in their establishment:

  • Employed or self-employed beauticians
  • Beauty professionals (nail technicians, make-up artists, brow and lash stylists…)
  • Beauty salon managers

Prerequisites

Be a professional in the beauty sector with at least 3 years’ experience. Prerequisites are checked before registration using the application file.

Objectives

General objective

Independently perform a lash lift with tint following the Yumi Lashes protocol, in compliance with hygiene and safety rules, and know how to promote and sell this service.

Operational objectives – at the end of the course, the trainee will be able to:

  • Welcome the client and carry out a personalised eye-area diagnosis
  • Identify contraindications and adapt the service
  • Apply hygiene and safety rules, and prepare the workstation and equipment
  • Perform a complete lash lift following the Yumi Lashes protocol
  • Perform a lash tint suited to the client
  • Carry out aftercare and advise the client on maintenance
  • Take professional before/after photos that showcase the service (lighting, angle, framing)
  • Set prices and build a lash lift offer
  • Present and sell the service to clients
  • Define communication actions to promote the service (social media, word of mouth)

Course schedule

9:00 am – 12:30 pm: Theory and demonstration (3.5 hours)

Course introduction (30 min)

  • Welcome, introduction of the trainer and participants
  • Round-table discussion: experience, expectations and feedback on the application file
  • Objectives, schedule of the day and hygiene and safety rules

Lash anatomy (15 min)

  • Life cycle and structure of the lash
  • Contraindications

Products and equipment (20 min)

  • Presentation of Yumi products and the function of each product
  • Choosing equipment for each case

Hygiene and safety (15 min)

  • Disinfection, client protection and professional standards

Client diagnosis (25 min)

  • Eye-area analysis, choice of pad and adaptation of the technique

Complete lash lift protocol (45 min)

  • Detailed steps, processing times and mistakes to avoid

Lash tint (7 min)

  • Choosing the colour and applying it

Demonstration on a model (45 min)

  • Complete protocol performed with live commentary by the trainer

Photos and presentation (8 min)

  • Taking professional before/after photos: angle, lighting and framing

12:30 – 1:30 pm: Lunch break

1:30 – 5:00 pm: Practice, business development and assessment (3.5 hours)

Practice on a model, 1st application (1 h 15)

  • Set-up, complete application and live correction by the trainer

Practice on a model, 2nd application (1 h 15)

  • Progressively independent application and technical adjustments
  • Practical assessment using an observation grid

Technical debriefing (15 min)

  • Analysis of results and personalised corrections

Business development (20 min)

  • Pricing and positioning (premium or standard)
  • Sales pitch, client loyalty and creating offers (packages, promotions)

Communication and marketing (10 min)

  • Social media, before/after photos, winning first clients and launch strategy

Assessment and closing (15 min)

  • Theory assessment (multiple-choice quiz)
  • End-of-course satisfaction questionnaire
  • Presentation of the certificate of completion and information on post-training follow-up

Teaching and assessment

Methods used

Teaching methods: alternating theoretical input, demonstrations commented by the trainer and hands-on practice on live models, with individual feedback. Individual and group work.

Teaching resources: board, course materials, diagnosis sheet, Yumi Lashes protocol.

Technical resources: equipped practice room, professional lash lift and lash tint equipment, Yumi products, hygiene equipment. Live models provided by the training centre and/or the trainee.

Assessment methods

Diagnostic assessment: review of the application file before the course and round-table discussion at the start of the day.

Formative assessment: continuous observation of practice by the trainer, with correction and individual feedback at each step of the treatment.

Summative assessment: practical assessment on a model using an observation grid based on the operational objectives, and theory assessment by multiple-choice quiz.

Satisfaction assessment: satisfaction questionnaire at the end of the course.

Course outcome

A certificate of completion is given to each trainee. It states the objectives, nature and duration of the course and the results of the learning assessment. A certificate of attendance is also issued.

This course does not lead to a certification: it does not lead to a certification registered in the RNCP or the Répertoire spécifique.

Access procedure and time

1. Consulting the programme and registration request

The course programme is available on our website, where candidates can submit their registration request using the online form. Candidates who contact us by email receive the programme by email.

2. Application file

The candidate receives by email an application file to complete and return. This file is used to check the prerequisites, gather the candidate’s expectations and identify any adaptation needs, particularly in the case of a disability. If the file is compliant, we confirm by email that the application has been accepted, and the candidate confirms their registration.

3. Vocational training contract

The vocational training contract is sent to the candidate by email. Registration is final upon receipt of the signed contract and payment under the agreed terms.

4. Notice to attend

A notice to attend specifying the date, schedule, venue and practical information is sent to the trainee by email before the start of the course.

Access time

The estimated time between the beneficiary’s request and the start of the course is 15 days to 3 weeks, depending on available places.

As the training contract is concluded remotely, a trainee who finances their own training has a 14-day withdrawal period from the date of signature. No payment is required before this period expires. At the trainee’s express written request, and subject to availability, the course may begin before the end of this period.

Accessibility for people with disabilities

Our courses are open to people with disabilities. The application file makes it possible to identify the candidate’s specific needs. Our disability officer then reviews with the candidate, by email and/or by telephone, the adjustments that can be put in place: teaching materials, assessment methods, organisation of training time, material conditions. If necessary, we rely on specialised partners (Agefiph, Cap emploi, MDPH).
